# Supported Superchains

## Optimism

The flagship OP Stack chain, Optimism uses Optimistic Rollups for scalability, with fees as low as $0.06 per ETH transfer post-Bedrock upgrade. Its defining feature is the Superchain vision—unifying L2s for interoperability—and Retroactive Public Goods Funding, redistributing revenue to community projects. It’s fully EVM-equivalent for seamless developer adoption.

## Base

Base is a Layer 2 blockchain by Coinbase, designed to onboard the next billion users to Web3. It integrates tightly with Coinbase’s ecosystem (110M+ users), offering low fees (up to 10x cheaper than Ethereum) and fast transactions. Its standout feature is the lack of a native token, using ETH for gas, and it funnels revenue to the Optimism Collective to support the Superchain.

## Build On Bitcoin (BOB)

BOB is a hybrid Layer 2 bridging Bitcoin and Ethereum via the OP Stack. Its unique feature is enabling Bitcoin-secured smart contracts by combining Bitcoin’s security (via merged mining) with Ethereum’s EVM compatibility. It aims to expand DeFi and dApps on Bitcoin with fast, low-cost transactions.

## Unichain

Unichain, developed by Uniswap Labs, is an OP Stack-based L2 focused on DeFi optimization. Its key feature is ultra-fast transaction speeds (sub-second finality) and low costs, tailored for decentralized exchanges. It integrates with Uniswap’s ecosystem to enhance liquidity and cross-chain swaps within the Superchain.

## Soneium

Soneium, launched by Sony Block Solutions Labs, targets mainstream Web3 adoption in gaming, finance, and entertainment. Its specific feature is a user-centric design, simplifying blockchain interactions for Web2 users. Built on OP Stack, it offers fast, low-cost transactions and leverages Sony’s tech expertise for creator and community-focused dApps.

## Fraxtal

Fraxtal, from Frax Finance, is an OP Stack L2 optimized for DeFi innovation. Its standout feature is deep integration with Frax’s stablecoin and lending ecosystem, using frxETH as a gas token instead of ETH. It offers high throughput and low fees, aiming to power scalable DeFi applications within the Superchain.

## Zora

Zora is an OP Stack L2 tailored for NFTs and digital creators. Its defining feature is ultra-low-cost NFT minting (under $0.5) and fast confirmation (2-second block times). It’s a permissionless platform that empowers artists and collectors, integrating with the Superchain for broader reach.

## Lisk

Lisk transitions to an Ethereum L2 using the OP Stack, focusing on accessibility for JavaScript developers. Its specific feature is enabling dApp development in JavaScript with a custom SDK, lowering the entry barrier. It offers low fees and fast transactions, aligning with the Superchain for interoperability.

## Ink

Ink, launched by Kraken, enhances DeFi accessibility for its 10M+ users. Its standout feature is 1-second block times (with sub-second goals), offering fast, low-cost transactions and seamless bridging to Ethereum and beyond via the Superchain, backed by Kraken’s security expertise.
